An Original 1990 (from the first release of this movie in Russia) Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Russian Movie Poster (measures 31 3/4" x 58 1/4" [81 x 148 cm]) (Learn More) Cobra Verde (literally translates to "Green Snake"), the 1987 (released in the U.S. in 1996) Werner Herzog German military bandit adventure melodrama ("'The slaves will sell their masters and grow wings...'"; a strange movie, but typical of Herzog and Kinski!; a bandit goes straight, but betrays his employer by sleeping with his daughters, and is exiled to Africa, where he is tortured) starring Klaus Kinski (in the title role as Cobra Verde; "Klaus Kinski as Cobra Verde"), Salvatore Basile, King Ampaw, Peter Berling, Jose Lewgoy, Pedro Oliveira, Benito Stefanelli, and Nana Agyefi Kwame II (billed as "His Royal Highness Nana Agyefi Kwame II of Nsein") NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster was printed in three panels designed to overlap. It had many faint scuffs scattered throughout (it is hard to tell if some or all are printing defects, or if they are defects to this particular poster). There were some tiny tears in the borders. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above. Learn More about condition grades
