He also hosted three of his own TV series and appeared in more than half a dozen movies. His music has appeared in movies such as Rhapsody in Blue, The King of Jazz, Strike Up the Band, and the Fabulous Dorseys. Whiteman passed away in 1967 at the age of 77. Important Added Info: Note that this letter (on Mr. Whiteman's own printed stationery) has been personally autographed (signed) by Paul Whiteman! Our consignor is a longtime dealer who acquired this signed item among many other purchases in his inventory, and he does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we believe the signature to likely be authentic. Also note that this auction also includes the envelope this letter was originally mailed in, which is also imprinted with Mr. Whiteman's return address. Condition: very good.
