An Original Vintage Theatrical Autographed Movie 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Key Book Still (Learn More) Eve Arden was a much-in-demand character actress from the 1920s to the 1980s. She was very smart and would almost always play the wisecracking best friend of the heroine. She had major success as the star of the "Our Miss Brooks" TV show, and she continued to play character parts long after that, including memorable performances in Anatomy of a Murder and Grease. Some of her other movies include: Mildred Pierce (nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film), We're Not Married, and Cover Girl. She passed away in 1990 at the age of 82. Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by Eve Arden (she signed with her married name, Eve Arden West)! Note that it is extremely likely that this is a "key book" still, and it is virtually a certainty that the punch holes were put there by the studio at the time the still was created, so they are not a defect. Note that this item was consigned to us by a man who was a major movie memorabilia dealer from the 1980s on. During that time, he would regularly purchase collections of movie memorabilia from both dealers and collectors, and in some of those collections he purchased autographed items, and over the years he did not re-sell any of the autographed items. Now he has gathered up together all of his autographed items and consigned them to us. So all of the items from this consignor we are auctioning were purchased by this dealer from longtime dealers and collectors, and we feel it is quite likely that the autograph on this item is authentic!
