He is best known for his work in TV's "The Riflemen" and "Branded", as well as in many movies including: The Big Country, Soylent Green, Airplane II, Old Yeller, Pat and Mike, and Support Your Local Gunfighter. Remarkably, Connors was BOTH a professional baseball player (for the Brooklyn Dodgers and Chicago Cubs) and a professional basketball player (for the Boston Celtics) prior to his long successful movie career! Connors passed away in 1992 at the age of 71. Important Added Info: Note that this REPRODUCTION photo has been personally autographed (signed) by Chuck Connors! Note that this signed item was consigned to us from the personal collection of Johnny Crawford, who first came to fame as the son in the TV series "The Rifleman" and later became a band leader loved movies, and early on he collected many movie stills and more! He did not have a certificate of authenticity, but since this particular still is from his own show, The Rifleman, we are sure the autograph is authentic (note that the autograph is made out "To Patrick", and we imagine that Mr. Connors gave it to Mr. Crawford to give to someone named Patrick, and that he never got to do that, which is how it ended up in his possession when he passed away.
