Holiday on Ice is a touring ice skating show which was founded in the U.S. in December 1942, but soon started to tour internationally. Until recently, it was a glamorous revue style show with dozens of skaters, but that style has slowly been replaced in favor of smaller modern stylings. Also the music has changed from mainly Broadway show scores to contemporary pop music and even rock. Novelty acts such as acrobats have been added regularly to the main production numbers in recent years.
