An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded English Half-Sheet Movie Poster (measures approximately 22" x 28") (Learn More) The Battle of the River Plate (released in the U.S. in 1957 as "Pursuit of the Graf Spee"; the movie was also released in England under this title), the 1955 Michael Powell & Emeric Pressburger English World War II (WWII) military Navy Naval battle battleship seagoing seafaring ocean sailor drama combat action thriller ("The tremendous story of the victory over the Graf Spee"; "Written Produced and Directed by Michael Powell & Emeric Pressburger") starring John Gregson, Anthony Quayle, Peter Finch ("as Captain Langsdorff"), Bernard Lee, Ian Hunter, Jack Gwillim, Christopher Lee (in a bit role as Manolo), Anthony Newley (in an early uncredited role), John Schlesinger (the famous director in an uncredited acting role!), and Muriel Smith (best known as the singing voice of Bloody Mary in South Pacific; in an uncredited singing role, but she is pictured on the bottom of the U.S. insert and English & U.S. one-sheets!)
