An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded English Double Crown Movie Poster (DC; measures 20 3/4" x 29 3/4" [53 x 76 cm]) (Learn More)

Ian Fleming's Diamonds Are Forever, the 1971 Guy Hamilton English James Bond 007 secret agent spy espionage fantasy action adventure thriller ("Diamonds are Forever Forever Forever Forever Forever Forever"; based on the novel by Ian Fleming) starring Sean Connery (as James Bond), Jill St. John ("as 'Tiffany Case'"), Charles Gray (as Blofeld), Lana Wood (billed as "also starring Lana Wood as 'Plenty O'Toole'"), Jimmy Dean, Bruce Cabot, Lola Larson (as "Bambi"), Trina Parks (as "Thumper", one of the few black African American Bond girls!), and Denise Perrier. Note that the part of Bambi was originally played by Donna Garrett, but she was replaced mid-filming by Lola Larson, and no footage of Garrett remains in the movie, but there may be some publicity photos with her (Garrett and Larson looked very much alike).

Important Added Info: Note that this is a "country of origin" poster for this English movie! WE HAVE HEARD TWO CONFLICTING STORIES ABOUT THIS POSTER. One comes to us from a James Bond expert, who tells us the following about this poster: "This poster was printed prior to the filming of "DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER" in 1970 when Sean Connery was not yet committed to the film (he had quit playing Bond after 1967's "You Only Live Twice", and the studio had re-cast the part with George Lazenby in "On Her Majesty's Secret Service", but both the audience and the producers wanted Sean Connery to come back. While trying to negotiate a contract with Sean Connery, promotional artwork for the new movie (Diamonds Are Forever) was almost completed, and this teaser poster came out playing with the idea that we literally did not know who the new Bond was going to be, because Bond is only shown from the back, and there was a large blank area under the word 'STARRING...'". The other story about this poster is that it was sold commercially in English shops, and that you could get it made with your name in the area under "STARRING...". We cannot say with 100% certainty which of these two stories is correct (and it is also possible that both stories are correct, and that it was first printed as an advance poster, and then later used as a commercial poster). Therefore, please do not bid on this poster unless you can accept the uncertainty of this poster's origins. Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube.

Condition: good. The poster is somewhat discolored and there is a small amount of tattering around the edges.
