Whistling in the Dark, the 1941 S. Sylvan Simon radio detective crime murder slapstick comedy ("Surprise comedy hit of the year! Don't miss it!"; "Laugh while your spine tingles!"; "Based upon the play by Laurence Gross and Edward Childs Carpenter"; about a radio detective who is kidnapped with his girlfriend by crooks, who demand that he plan the perfect crime for them; one of three movies where Red Skelton played the same radio detective, all with similar plots) starring Red Skelton, Conrad Veidt, Ann Rutherford, Virginia Grey, 'Rags' Ragland, Henry O'Neill, and Eve Arden

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this poster has never been machine folded! Some pre-1970 half-sheet posters were machine folded twice horizontally at the poster exchange, while some were not. It can be difficult to find an unfolded example of many pre-1970 half-sheet posters (note that most post-1970 half-sheets were NOT machine folded, so they are pretty much only found unfolded, and therefore this does not apply to those half-sheets).

Condition: good to very good. There are many creases and some scuffs scattered throughout. There are yellowed pieces of tape, some creases and pinholes around the edges of the poster, as well as several tears (1" or less). Many of the defects as described above have been repaired with several pieces of tape from the back. Please see our super-sized image to get a good sense of the condition of this item prior to placing a bid.
