An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Window Card Movie Poster (WC; measures 14" x 18 1/4" [36 x 46 cm]) (Learn More) Allegheny Uprising, the 1939 William A. Seiter Pennsylvania pre-Revolutionary War historical cowboy western ("America's First Rebel and his wildcat blonde in buckskin... Daring the peril path of wilderness in the danger days when Pittsburgh was 'way out West'... Riding the conflict of a nation aborning on a love that stood against the untold terrors of those turbulent times!"; "'Mighty' is the word for it! Mighty in theme!... Mighty in scope!... Mighty in spectacle!--But mightiest of all in the heat-winging thrill that sings and sweeps through every stirring scene!"; based on the novel 'The First Rebel' by Neil H. Swanson; about settlers in Pennsylvania in 1759 who try to get the governing British to ban alcohol sales to Native American Indians) starring Claire Trevor, John Wayne (as James 'Jim' Smith), George Sanders, Brian Donlevy, Wilfred Lawson, Robert Barrat, John F. Hamilton, Moroni Olsen, Eddie Quillan, and Chill Wills NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that first release 1939 movie posters from this John Wayne movie are incredibly rare. We have never auctioned this window card before! Also note that this poster has been trimmed and it now measures 14" x 18 1/4" [36 x 46 cm]. Note that the window card was folded across the center at one time, but someone put tape on the back of that fold to reinforce it, and we believe that re-folding the window card would lessen its condition. The card will need to be sent in a large flat package. Condition: fair. The blank top was trimmed. The card was roughly folded across the middle and there are creases and tiny surface paper loss in that area. There is tiny paper loss in the bottom right corner, with some staining scattered across the bottom of the card. There is paper loss near the middle of the left blank border and someone taped a piece of another card to the back of that area as a crude sort of amateur restoration. Please do not bid on this poster unless you can accept its defects described above or are willing to pay to have them properly restored. Learn More about condition grades
