Date Sold 7/21/2011Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 4 1954 Re-Release Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Cards (LCs; measure 11" x 14") (Learn More) The Man on the Eiffel Tower, the 1950 Burgess Meredith U.S./French Paris France crime film noir ("From the Novel 'A Battle of Nerves' by Georges Simenon"; "Paris... As you've never seen it before!"; "Photographed in ANSCO color") starring Charles Laughton, Franchot Tone, Burgess Meredith, Robert Hutton, Jean Wallace, Patricia Roc, Belita "and The City of Paris". Note that this film had a limited U.S. release in December of 1949, but it's wide release was in 1950. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that only 4 lobby cards were produced for this re-release, and this is the complete set. It was quite common for studios to only make sets of four for short subjects or low budget movies (or re-releases of big budget movies), because it allowed them to print the sets at half the cost, and on shorts and low budget movies, they tried to save money any way they could (especially since it is likely few theaters even bothered to order lobby cards for these titles, since they were likely shown in addition to a better movie). Condition: very good to fine. Note that these lobby cards have no tape whatsoever on the front or back, and they have never had any restoration of any kind! Learn More about condition grades
