An Original 1961 (from the first Polish release of this movie) Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Polish Movie Poster (23x33; measures approximately 23" x 33") (Learn More) Madchen in Uniform (released in the U.S. as "Girls in Uniform"), the 1958 Geza von Radvanyi German/French homosexual gay lesbian boarding school melodrama (a remake of the 1931 movie of the same name, which was one of the very first movies to openly deal with lesbianism or homosexuality, but where you might think that this version would deal even more openly with the subject, it actually is far more strain, because 1958 Germany was much more "closeted" than 1931 Germany) starring Romy Schneider, Lilli Palmer, Therese Giehse, Blandine Ebinger, Adelheid Seeck, and Ginette Pigeon. Note that this is one of the only movies we are aware of where the cast is ENTIRELY female (we know of 1939's "The Women", but no others). NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Hanna Bodnar Condition: very good to fine. The poster was folded and had very minor fold and border wear. There are some tiny scattered white dots in the image, but they appear to be part of the printing, and in any event, they are not very noticeable or distracting.
