Original Vintage Theatrical French Movie Poster (measures 23 1/4" x 31") (Learn More) Gringalet, the 1946 Andre Berthomieu French family relationship illegitimate son melodrama (based on the play by Paul Vanderberghe; about a rich man who discovers he has a grown illegitimate son and he brings him into his family, and all of the members of his family hate him) starring Charles Vanel, Marguerite Deval, Suzy Carrier, Jimmy Gaillard, Paul Vandenberghe (in the title role as Gringalet), Paul Faivre, and Andre Bervil. Note that playwright Paul Vandenberghe played the illegitimate son in this movie version of his play! If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this French poster measures 23 1/4" x 31" and is folded. Condition: fair to good. two approximately 1/2" areas of paper loss in the man's image at center (see the image below) poster has darkened somewhat (more so around the edges) as is common with older French posters; paper loss in the upper center edge as well as several small tears around the edges of the poster (see the image below); separation along most of the top of the vertical foldline as well as some 2" and smaller tears along the foldlines (some repaired with tape from the back); slightly diagonal creases at the right of the horizontal fold as well as minor creases and smudges throughout the poster (more so around the edges); lightly folded in half an extra time Learn More about condition grades
