An Original Vintage Autographed 8 1/4" x 10" [21 x 25 cm] Still (Learn More) Bennett Cerf was a publisher and author from the 1920s to the 1970s. He was one of the founders of the book publisher Random House. Late in life, he achieved major celebrity as one of the regular panelists on the game show "What's My Line?", and he was well known for his bad puns and his banter with host John Charles Daly. He passed away in 1971 at the age of 73. Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by Bennett Cerf! Note that this is one of a wonderful collection of 91 items that were assembled by a collector decades ago, mostly from RR Auctions, which has auctioned signed items since 1976. The person who purchased these items passed away several years ago, and while he did not save most of the certificates of authenticity he received when he bought these signed items, almost all were purchased between the late 1970s and the early 1990s, and we think it is extremely likely that the autograph on this item is genuine. As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes. Condition: good to very good. The still was glued to an album page and there is much paper and glue residue on the back, which has caused the front to be somewhat rippled.
