eMoviePoster.comAuction History Result 6g937 WHAT A WIDOW LC '30 pretty Gloria Swanson is bored by Lew Cody's romantic gestures! Date Sold 4/2/2015Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) What a Widow!, the 1930 Allan Dwan Paris France romantic inheritance comedy (produced by Joseph P. Kennedy; "The Year's Prize Entertainment"; "A sensational attraction everywhere!"; about a sexy young American woman who marries a very wealthy old man, and after he dies, she takes her inheritance and moves to France, where lots of guys pursue her!) starring Gloria Swanson, Owen Moore, Lew Cody, Margaret Livingston, William Holden (no, not THAT William Holden, but another actor of the same name who made 20 movies between 1920 and 1931, and he died the next year, which was 7 years before the more famous William Holden made his first movie!), and Herbert Braggiotti. Note that producer Joseph P. Kennedy was of course the father of Joe, John, Bobby, and Teddy Kennedy, and had a well publicized love affair with Gloria Swanson for many years! Also, this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Condition: good. There are pinholes and smudges around the edges. There was paper tape on the back of all four borders. There was small surface paper loss in the right of Swanson's hair, and someone performed slight amateur touch up to that area, and there are some dot stains scattered in the card, including in Swanson's chest and nose, and in the man's eyebrow. See our super-sized image to get a good sense of the condition of this card. Learn More about condition grades
