An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Pressbook (pb; measures 8 3/4" x 12 3/4" [22 x 32 cm]; 12 pages). Also included are 2 ad supplements that have 3 pages and 1 page. (Learn More) Doppleganger (released outside of England as "Journey to the Far Side of the Sun"), the 1969 Robert Parrish English outer space science fiction (sci-fi) thriller ("Man has conquered the moon with the epic Apollo 11 flight! Now take another momentous journey!"; "You will meet yourself face-to-face... when Earth meets its duplicate in outer space!") starring Roy Thinnes, Ian Hendry, Lynn Loring, Patrick Wymark, Loni von Friedl, and Herbert Lom. Note that although this movie was released in England as "Doppleganger", it was apparently released everywhere else as "Journey to the Far Side of the Sun", and because we have never auctioned even one English movie paper item with the English title, we list it under the alternate title, because that is what everyone knows the film by. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that pressbooks were prepared prior to a movie being released. Often, changes would be made in a movie advertising campaign (billing of actors, different images, etc.), and the theaters would print up special supplements that they would send out with the pressbooks that had already been printed. These supplements are very rare, far more rare than the pressbooks themselves! Some pressbooks would have no supplements, some would have one, and some would have several. Also note that this pressbook is complete and uncut! Given that theater owners purchased pressbooks partly in order to create their newspaper advertising, and quite frequently cut them up for that purpose, it is rare to find a pressbook that IS complete and uncut!
