An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Title Lobby Card (LC TC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Lost at the Front, the 1927 Del Lord silent World War I (WWI) military comedy (about best friends who are an Irish cop and a German saloon keeper, and they join the army after America enters World War I, so that they can go help save the world, but they have their hands full saving themselves!) starring George Sidney, Charles Murray, Natalie Kingston, John Kolb, and Max Asher. Charles Murray was one of the pioneer actors of early motion pictures. He began acting in 1912 and appeared in 282 movies altogether, 172 of them from before 1920. He was 40 years old when he began acting, and he often played middle-aged man roles (and progressed to old man roles as he aged). He played the title role in the 1925 version of "The Wizard of Oz", and he appeared in the "Cohens & Kellys" series of movies, along with George Sidney (the two co-starred in this movie in between making some of the Cohens & Kellys movies). NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that ANY movie paper from this movie is incredibly rare. We have never auctioned even a single movie paper item from this movie until we received this title card! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: fair to good. The entire card has darkened somewhat. It has tack holes, smudges, and small stains around the edges. There are many stains scattered in the image, including one in the top center (see our image). This is the sort of card that responds really well to professional restoration. It is likely that much or all of the smudges and stains can be removed through chemical means, and of course, most of the pinholes are in the blank borders, and after proper restoration, the card will display well. Please look closely at our images of the front and back of this card before bidding. Note that this card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back!
