An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) When Worlds Collide, the classic 1951 Rudolph Mate science fiction (sci-fi) doomsday fantasy thriller ("Spectacle never before filmed!"; "Most amazing story that science or fiction ever imagined!"; "Planets Destroy Earth!"; "Giant planet collides with earth!"; "Enormous earthquakes swallow whole continents!"; "Tidal waves flood entire countries!"; "Space ship leaves earth!"; "Based on the famous novel by Edwin Balmer and Philip Wylie"; produced by George Pal, who did the excellent special effects; a highly literate screenplay by Sydney Boehm; this is the sort of movie that proved that science fiction movies did not have to be silly to be critically acclaimed or popular with the public; it is a pity more movies did not follow this wonderful movie's formula!) starring Barbara Rush, Richard Derr, Peter Hanson, John Hoyt, Larry Keating, Frank Cady, and Stephen Chase NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. The poster has paper loss at the bottom crossfold and separation and small paper loss at the middle crossfold and tiny separation at the top crossfold. There are many pinholes in the corners. There are many smudges, creases, a few small tears, and tiny paper loss around the edges of the poster. There is some clear tape on the back of the borders, mending tears and covering pinholes. The poster is in better condition than the above makes it sound! The defects are basically minor, and the sort that respond extremely well to restoration. After a simple linenbacking, the poster would look great, and would have little paint anywhere on it! Learn More about condition grades
