A 1956 Re-Release Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein (released in other English-speaking countries as "Abbott and Costello Meet the Ghosts"), the 1948 Charles T. Barton monster horror spoof comedy ("It's a grand New idea for Fun!"; the eighth Universal Frankenstein movie, and this time they added their #1 comedy team to both liven up the series, and to inject comedy; many people fondly remember this as their favorite of the 1940s Frankenstein movies!; "Jeepers! The Creepers are after Bud and Lou!"; "The laughs are MONSTERous! Bud and Lou are in a stew when they tangle with the Titans of Terror!"; "The monsters of menace vs the masters of Mirth!") starring Bud Abbott, Lou Costello (Abbott and Costello), Lon Chaney Jr. ("The Wolf Man played by Lon Chaney"), Bela Lugosi (returning as Dracula after being long absent from the role; "Dracula played by Bela Lugosi"), Glenn Strange (in the title role, playing the Frankenstein monster; "The Monster played by Glenn Strange"), Lenore Aubert, Jane Randolph, Frank Ferguson, Charles Bradstreet, and Vincent Price (in a cute cameo, as the voice of The Invisible Man at the end of the movie!) There are many tiny pinholes scattered around the edges of the poster and a few scattered through the image, including one below Lugosi's eye. There is a vertical stain line running from the right of Costello's figure down through the right edge of Chaney's head, his hand, and down to the bottom border. There are some smudges and stains around the edges. There was a quarter-sized area of paper loss in the left of the top foldline (fortunately entirely in the white background), and someone put a piece of paper tape on the back of that area and there are some clear tape repairs on the back of the borders and there is a piece of clear tape on the back of the top crossfold. Obviously, this great poster has many major defects, but it is also true that the best and most talented restorers could take this poster, and after removing all of the tape and amateur repairs, can linenback it, and after proper restoration, the poster will look great, and it will not require much paint restoration at all, and it will display fantastically on anyone's wall. But please do not bid on this poster unless you have carefully read the above, and have carefully studied our super-sized image! Learn More about condition grades
