Date Sold 9/15/2020 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 5 Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Cards (LCs; measure 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Samarang, the 1932 Ward Wing tropical South Seas island adventure thriller ("Where lovers must live --- or perish --- together!"; "From the story by Lori Bara") starring Ahmang, Chang-Fu, Ko-Hal, Mamounah, and Sai-Yu. Note that this movie contained nude Polynesian women (other pre-Code movies of this period contained nude black "native" women, but this is one of the very few I have seen with nude Polynesians, who did not have non-white features, some of whom appear on the advertising!). Important Added Info: Note that we auctioned a complete set of these cards in 1997, but since then, we have never auctioned these particular five scene cards! Note also that this item contains some nudity, so we have placed a white bar over those areas for those who are bothered by such images. Of course, the actual item does not have the white bars. Condition: good to very good. A small portion of the outer edges of the blank borders on each cards was slightly unevenly trimmed (see our images). Each has varying amounts of smudges and scuff marks in the image but they are otherwise in pretty nice condition. Learn More about condition grades
