An Original Vintage Movie Campaign Book Two-Page Spread (measures 13 1/2" x 21" [34 x 53 cm]; 2 loose pages) (Learn More)

Chocolate Parade, the 1938 black African-American musical starring Louis Armstrong, Jesse Owens, Marian Anderson, Paul Robeson, and many others. Note that this film was never released and we can find little information about it. The information we did find is from the book Heart Full of Rhythm: The Big Band Years of Louis Armstrong, and newspaper articles. The only movie paper advertising for it we have ever seen is a great two-page full-color ad from the Paramount 1937-1938 campaign book with great art of Louis Armstrong and black dancers and band members by artist Phil DeLara! If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
Artist: Phil DeLara
Important Added Info: Note that this two-page ad was removed from the Paramount 1937-1938 campaign book. We are listing it under the title of the movie. The back of each page has part of an ad for other movies, but of course, they are not of interest, and we did not picture them.

Condition: good to very good. The two pages were removed from a campaign book (see above). They certainly could be framed and displayed! However, please do not bid unless you can accept that they were removed from a campaign book.
