Note that MGM took a great chance in casting W.C. Fields in the role of Micawber. No doubt everyone expected Fields to greatly ham up the role, and turn this serious subject into slapstick, but instead, he gave a wonderful performance, and added greatly to the movie! Important Added Info: Note that in the 1930s, Whitman Publishing had great success with "Big Little Books", and the similar "Better Little Books", which were tiny books that each had an image on one side and text on the other. They were mostly aimed at children and teenagers, and often were adapted from comic strips, comic books, movies, etc. In the case of this book, it was created by The Childrens Press, a London company that made the same books as Big Little Books, except they were called "Big Little Bumpers"! Also note that we have pictured the front cover, the title page, and the interior page that shows the publishing information, and one or more interior 2-page spreads. Condition: good.
