Important Added Info: Note that the image area of this poster is smaller than the size of the one-sheet, which left a blank area at the bottom of the poster, similar to the top of a window card. This was something RKO experimented with at this time, which would allow theaters to write show times in that bottom area, but it only lasted a short while. Also note that this poster has been paperbacked. What is paperbacking? This means the poster was backed onto an extremely light paper backing (acid-free) by a museum restorer, that is similar in feel to that of the original poster (it means that the poster must be handled carefully, as the backing does not give it much added strength, but it is similar to having an unrestored poster, and yet it has been properly preserved). It is a similar process to linenbacking, except that most collectors use linenbacking for one-sheets and paperbacking for half-sheets, inserts, window cards. What IS paperbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good to fine. Prior to paperbacking, the poster had tiny paper loss at the bottom two crossfolds, with tiny creases and a few tiny bits of surface paper loss between those crossfolds and a lesser amount of wear on the other folds, with a few tiny tears in the borders.
