An Original Vintage Theatrical Italian One-Panel Movie Poster (measures approximately 39" x 55") (Learn More) Edipo Re (released in the U.S. as "Oedipus Rex"), the 1967 Pier Paolo Pasolini Italian/Moroccan Ancient Greek legend forbidden love melodrama ("Oceans of praise for the most unusual motion picture ever produced!"; very loosely based on the play Oedipus Rex by Sophocles) starring Franco Citti (in the title role as Oedipus), Alida Valli (best remembered as the female lead of The Third Man), Julian Beck, Carmelo Bene, and Silvana Mangano (as Jocasta) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this Italian one-panel measures approximately 39" x 55" and is folded. Also note that this is a rare "country of origin" poster for this Italian movie! Condition: good. tape stains in the top corners and multiple pinholes in all corners; 5" of separation at the top of the center foldline and a 4" tear near the right end of the top of the poster; many small tears in the top and bottom foldlines and separation at many crossfolds This item is in "lesser" condition (what many dealers would describe as "good" or "good to very good", or in the case of items with major defects, which should be easily seen on our large images, "fair")! It has clear defects, which are likely to be very noticeable in our "large" or "super-sized" images that you can click on from our small image at right (although some of the defects may not be so easily seen in the images).
