It's grand fun... in a snappy story that laughs along like a breeze!"; "Adapted from the story, 'Bonne Chance' by Sacha Guitry"; about a man and woman who are complete strangers who share an Irish Sweepstakes ticket, which wins, and the man talks the woman into vacationing with him in Niagara Falls with the winnings, even though she is engaged to another man!) starring Ronald Colman, Ginger Rogers, Spring Byington, Jack Carson, Cecilia Loftus, Harry Davenport, and Hugh O'Connell. Note that writer Sacha Guitry was a major figure of French cinema and French stage plays. He wrote his first play while still a teenager, and did not get involved with movies until he was 30, but then he wrote, directed, and sometimes starred in a huge volume of work, both on the stage and the screen. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster was never folded. It had darkened somewhat and it had tears and some stains around the edges, with tiny paper loss in the bottom right corner, and some faint creases and scuffs scattered in the image. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did little restoration to the defects described above. Learn More about condition grades
