Artist: Tom Jung Important Added Info: Note that, due to the immense popularity of this movie, there were FOUR different printings of this "style A" one-sheet poster! The first printing had the original NSS number of 77-21-0, while the next three printings had the 77-21 NSS number. The first three printings all had "Style A" printed in the bottom border, while this fourth printing did not. There are also reproductions of this poster, but the poster offered here is an original! Note that there are many reproduction Style A one-sheets being sold as originals. There are some key signs to identify the reproductions as follows: a hair on Luke's belt, no indention of the copyright in the lower left corner and the GAU logo isn't 'crisp'. We have examined this poster very carefully for these indications, so you can bid with confidence that we have determined that this poster is 100% the original theatrical one-sheet! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had fine surface paper loss on parts of some foldlines (typical of high-gloss posters of this period). It also had many scuff marks along parts of the foldlines and tape stains in the blank corners. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above. Learn More about condition grades
