Zanuck; a fictionalized biography of the inventor of the telephone) starring Don Ameche (in the title role as Alexander Graham Bell), Loretta Young, Henry Fonda (as Thomas Watson, who is immortalized in the first phone transmission, "Mr. Watson, come here I need you!"), Charles Coburn, Gene Lockhart, Spring Byington, Sally Blane, Polly Ann Young, Georgiana Young, and Bobs Watson. This means the poster was backed onto a light paper backing (acid-free), that is similar in feel to that of the original poster (it means that the poster must be handled carefully, as the backing does not give it much added strength, but it is similar to having an unrestored poster, and yet it has been properly preserved). It is a similar process to linenbacking, except that most collectors use linenbacking for one-sheets and paperbacking for half-sheets, inserts, window cards. Condition: good to very good. The poster had extra horizontal foldlines just above and just below the regular top and bottom ones. There were many creases in the upper left corner, and many creases and tears in the lower right corner. There were some creases and tears around the edges of the poster and some creases and tears on parts of some foldlines and some smudges in the white background areas. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to paperbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see some signs of the restoration, even from a distance.
