A Folded Two-Sided Special Poster (measures 16 1/2" x 23 3/4" [42 x 60 cm]) (Learn More) Mickey Mouse is an animated animation cartoon character created in 1928 by Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks. He first appeared in the cartoon short Steamboat Willie which was one of the first cartoons with synchronized sound and the first cartoon to feature a fully post-produced soundtrack. He was massively merchandised in the 1930s, and was a major part of the success of the Walt Disney studio. After his starring role in Fantasia (in the Sorcerer's Apprentice sequence), his popularity waned somewhat, but he remained the mascot of the studio, and has always been central to the studio (for example, Disney had a "Mickey Mouse Club" TV show where the children wore mouse ears). If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster is double-sided, but not in the regular way. There is a different image on each side of the poster. We have provided an image of each side, and please realize that the winner of this auction will receive ONE poster!
