An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures 3 1/4" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) After the Show, the 1921 William C. de Mille (billed as "William de Mille") silent theater stage acting romantic melodrama ("Adapted from the Saturday Evening Post story 'The Stage Door' by Rita Weiman"; about a poor young chorus girl who gets mixed up with a millionaire backer of the show, and an old washed up actor named "Pop" tries to keep her from getting hurt, and he even slashes his wrists to get her to leave the rich man, but when the rich man gives him a blood transfusion, he realizes he is "OK", and besides, he wants to marry the girl!) starring Charles Ogle, Lila Lee, Jack Holt, Eve Southern, and William Boyd (who, 14 years later, became Hopalong Cassidy, in an uncredited role!). Note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). This slide is the kind that has two panes of glass that are taped together with black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of many older glass slides. We have provided a high quality scan of the image, but we have not taken a photo of the slide, because there would really be very little to see! Condition: very good to fine.
