An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked French Movie Poster (measures approximately 23" x 32"; known as an 'affiche' poster in France) (Learn More) Les Visiteurs du Soir (released in English-speaking countries as "The Devil's Envoys"), the 1942 Marcel Carne French romantic surreal fantasy melodrama (set in the 15th century, about two visiting minstrels who come to a castle, but they are actually agents of the Devil to entice the inhabitants of the castle, but the daughter of the Baron is so pure that one of the Devil's agents falls in love with her) starring Arletty, Marie Dea, Fernand Ledoux, Alain Cuny, Pierre Labry, and Jules Berry (as "Le diable", the Devil) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had some very tiny tears and very tiny areas of paper loss in the vertical foldline, pinholes in the corners, and some smudges in the borders.
