Important Added Info: Note that in the 1990s, someone hired several "starving" South American artists and they began to do one-sheet-sized paintings of classic 1930s one-sheets, which they would sell for a few hundred dollars each. A very few three-sheet re-creations were made at that time, and one of them was this one, which is of the King Kong three-sheet which has sold for hundreds of thousands of dollars (the original, of course!). This is NOT a printed poster, but someone actually took the time to re-paint the entire poster directly onto a canvas (just as an Old Master would paint a painting onto canvas). Note that this poster measures 48 3/4" x 93 1/2" [124 x 237 cm]. What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: fair to good. Unfortunately, this painting was mishandled after it was created. It was roughly folded, which caused cracks and creases scattered throughout the poster, and there are water stains around the edges. It can still be put up on the wall and displayed and enjoyed, but its many defects are quite noticeable, so please read our description above and look at our super-sized image before placing a bid on this poster.
