An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Lady Killer, the 1933 Roy Del Ruth Hollywood California movie acting romantic crime comedy (about a racketeer who is down on his luck and goes to Hollywood and becomes a hobo, but he gets a bit part in a movie, and winds up becoming a major star, but then his former gang members show up to blackmail him) starring James Cagney, Mae Clarke, Margaret Lindsay, Henry O'Neill, and Leslie Fenton NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that ANY U.S. movie paper items from this movie are incredibly rare. We have only previously auctioned some stills from this movie (and NO other U.S. movie paper) until we received this lobby card! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: good. The card has an embossed Danish stamp at bottom center, indicating it was used in Denmark. It has many pinholes, smudges, and a few stains around the edges. It had a few tears in the borders and creases scattered across the bottom and top 1" of the card. It has some smudges and scuffs scattered in the image, including one entering Cagney's forehead. It has a red pen mark in the right of the top border, entering the edge of the background. It has a brown stain in the background below the "a" of "Cagney", and one to the bottom left of the "L" of "LADY". Someone put pieces of tape on the back of some of the pinholes and small tears (see our images). Obviously, this incredibly rare lobby card has real defects, as described in detail above, but it is surely true that any talented restorer could greatly improve the appearance of the card, and it will require primarily border restoration. After proper restoration, it will display wonderfully, but bear all of the above in mind before bidding on this ultra rare card. Learn More about condition grades
