An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Insert Movie Poster (measures 14" x 36") (Learn More) Liane, das Madchen aus dem Urwald (released in the U.S. in 1958 as "Liane, Jungle Goddess"), the 1956 Eduard von Borsody German sexploitation romantic jungle adventure thriller ("This is LIANE... A lost child who became a savage queen of a black jungle!"; "Beautiful and Proud... Yet more savage than the black jungle she ruled!"; "She fought Lust with the Clawing Fury of a Tormented Tigress"; "Sleek and Cunning as a Jungle Animal"; "SEE this incredible beauty, supreme ruler of a seething jungle empire!"; "SEE the jungle goddess fight with the clawing fury of a tormented tigress"; "SEE frantic men try to subdue this untouchable beauty!") starring Marion Michael (in the title role as Liane; "Germany's answer to Brigitte Bardot"), Hardy Kruger, Adrian Hoven, Friedrich Joloff, Rik Battaglia, Rolf von Nauckhoff, Irene Galter, Peter Mosbacher, Reinhard Kolldehoff, and Rudolf Forster. Note that this movie was made in Germany in 1956, when star Marion Michael was just 16, and yet she had nude scenes, and appeared virtually nude on the posters! The movie was not released in the U.S. until over two years later. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and the restorer did a good job, but you can see signs of the restoration from inches away (since most people look at posters framed on a wall from at least a few feet away, we don't feel this is a defect, but we feel it should be noted). See below for this poster's pre-restoration condition (we are the only major auction company we know of that shares this information with our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). very good. There are brown dot water stains along the bottom 5" of the poster (not in the figures at lower left). There is a piece of white tape in the lower part of the left blank border. There were staple holes, a few small tears, and some minor stains around the edges of the poster. There were creases along the foldlines and a few smudges in the light background areas. The person who linenbacked the poster did no real restoration, simply backing the poster, and they did not leave any excess linen around the edges. Learn More about condition grades
