Little Lord Fauntleroy (released in Japan as "Little Prince"), the 1980 Jack Gold English family melodrama ("The classic heartwarming story is now a major motion picture"; "The enchanting story of a small boy who inherits an Earldom"; based on the classic novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett; there was a 1936 movie based on this book starring Freddie Bartholomew) starring Rick Schroder (billed as "Ricky Schroder"; in the title role), Alec Guinness, Eric Porter, Colin Blakely, Connie Booth, and Rachel Kempson. Note that this movie was first released in the U.S. on CBS television and that it also was released in West Germany on television, where it has become a Christmas classic!
