Appears in Vintage Hollywood Posters 6 CATALOG SOLD OUT The image at right appears in the auction catalog we published as shown above and was sold long ago and we do NOT have it available for purchase. Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Dough Boys, the 1930 Edward Sedgwick World War I (WWI) military screwball comedy ("A Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer ALL TALKING Picture"; "Buster Keaton in a Howitzer of Howls!"; "A barrage of laughs!"; "The big parade of roars!"; "Story by Al Boasberg and Sidney Lazarus"; Buster is a rich man who goes to the unemployment office to find a chauffeur, but it has been converted into a recruiting office, and he accidentally enlists, and of course, he is the world's worst soldier!; among other comic routines, he performs a ukulele duet with Cliff Edwards) starring Buster Keaton, Sally Eilers, Cliff Edwards, Edward Brophy, and Ann Sothern (in a bit part as a dancer). Note that the IMDb claims the title of this movie is "Doughboys". However, all the advertising we have seen from the first release of the movie clearly says "Dough Boys", so we think the IMDb is simply wrong. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good to fine. 1/2" of separation at each crossfold (with slight paper loss at the bottom crossfold); extra crease alongside the vertical foldline running from Keaton's eyebrow to the bottom crossfold; 3" tear in the bottom middle of the poster running into the neck of Keaton's uniform; pinholes and tiny paper loss (caused by rough removal of the pins) in each blank corner; a single pinhole in the extreme top right corner of the image; The above is truly nitpicking! The poster is in really nice unrestored condition (there is not a piece of tape anywhere on it), and its defects are extremely minor. The minor defects would completely vanish if it were linenbacked and the poster would look wonderful! Learn More about condition grades
