An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4") (Learn More) The Command Performance, the 1931 Walter Lang royalty mistaken identity romantic melodrama ("A Royal Romance"; "From the play --- by C. Stafford Dickens"; a really wacky story of an actor who is arrested in an unnamed European country, and it is discovered that he looks exactly like the Prince of the country who is supposed to marry the Princess of a neighboring country, but the Prince doesn't want to, so he sends the actor to propose in his place, and of course, the actor and the Princess fall in love, and then there is even more silliness, and at the end, the Prince leaves and the actor takes his place as the new Prince, and is married to the Princess) starring Neil Hamilton (in a dual role as both the Prince and the actor), Una Merkel, Helen Ware, Albert Gran, Lawrence Grant, Thelma Todd, and Mischa Auer. Note that Thelma Todd had a minor role in the movie, playing the leading lady of the actor at the beginning. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: fine. This glass slide is in really excellent condition, and we feel that EVERY collector would be happy to own it. It IS possible it may have a MINOR defect or defects, but nothing at all significant. But we bet many dealers would call items in this grade "mint" or "near mint"! Learn More about condition grades
