An Autographed Color 8 1/2" x 11" [22 x 28 cm] Photo (Learn More) Roy Rogers (often referred to as the "King of the Cowboys") is considered one of the all-time top cowboy western actors (he started in the 1930s and worked in film until the 1950s) and was nearly always accompanied by his equally famous horse, Trigger. His top roles include Pecos Bill, Son of Paleface, Disney's Melody Time, King of the Cowboys, and Don't Fence Me In! AND Dale Evans was an actress certainly best remembered as Roy Rogers' on screen and off screen co-star, but she had a really unusual life! She was married at 14 in 1926 and had a baby the following year, and by 1936, she had divorced her third husband, at which point she embarked on a musical career (she was only 26). She found success as a recording star and then got some film roles, and in 1944, she co-starred opposite Roy Rogers, and two years later, his wife passed away, and she divorced her husband, and the two married and starred in many movies together, along with their hit TV show. Important Added Info: Note that this REPRODUCTION photo has been personally autographed (signed) by BOTH Roy Rogers AND Dale Evans! Our consignor was in the movie business and he was at a rehearsal of this famous couple with The Sons of the Pioneers at Sam's Town Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, and they signed this REPRODUCTION for him on the back (and Roy signed for Trigger as well, as he often did!). Note that the front of the REPRODUCTION his reproduced signatures on it, but the signatures on the back are hand signed and were acquired in person as noted above. Our consignor does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we are certain the signatures are authentic. As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased (although we prefer they do any "authenticating" while the auction is "live" and before they place a bid) and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes.
