A 1947 Realart Re-Release Theatrical Movie Lobby Card #2 (measures 11" x 14") (Learn More) The Invisible Man, the classic 1933 James Whale (billed as "James Whale who directed Frankenstein") Universal fantasy horror thriller ("Catch me if you can!"; "Carl Laemmle presents H.G. Wells' Fantastic Sensation"; "Screen play by R.C. Sheriff"; based on the novel by H.G. Wells; about a man who invents a potion that makes him invisible, but it also makes him go insane) starring Gloria Stuart, Claude Rains (in the title role as the Invisible Man), William Harrigan, Dudley Digges, Una O'Connor, Henry Travers, Forrester Harvey, and E.E. Clive NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: The card had a 4" horizontal tear near the top of the left of the card running across the background above the green background. There was an area at the center of the top border which was torn horizontally, and also creased mostly in the top blank border but just running across the very edge of the background area. There were several tears in the bottom right corner, to where the bottom right corner was almost detached (including most of the Realart logo). There was a 2" tear in the right border, slightly above center, extending into the background area. There were tears in the left of the bottom border to where a piece of the card running through the bottom of "Claude" was almost completely detached. There were a few other smaller tears in the borders. Someone took clear tape and mended all of the above tears. They used a piece of white paper tape on the long tear in the top left corner. They also glued on a piece of paper on the back of the top right of the card with their name and address. They did some slight amateur touch up to the image background on the front of the card to lessen the impact of the taped tears. THE CARD IS IN BETTER CONDITION THAN THE ABOVE MAKES IT SOUND! All of the above tears do not enter either image of Rains, except for one tear that just slightly touches the edge of his coat in the left inset image. There is the tear that goes into Rains' credit, but the title is completely unaffected. I would think most collectors could display this great card just as it is and be quite happy with it! Condition: good. Learn More about condition grades
