Thrilling! Startling!"; "From an idea conceived by Edgar Wallace & Merian C. Cooper"; based on the story by Edgar Wallace, with incredible special effects by Willis O'Brien) starring Fay Wray, Robert Armstrong (as Carl Denham), Bruce Cabot, Frank Reicher, and Sam Hardy NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this oversized still is printed on double weight paper stock. It measures 10 1/2" x 13 1/2", and it may have been slightly trimmed, or it could have been created this size. It has many condition defects (see below), but it has a snipe and stamp on the back that would surely indicate it is from the 1933 first release of this movie! Condition: fair to good. The still was glued to an album or a backing board, and there are glue stains over the entire back. There is a snipe on the back which has paper loss in the center and in the left, but you can read much of it. There is a stamp on the back from RKO giving credit to photographer Ernest A. Bachrach. There are tears and tiny paper loss around the edges, and there is darkening around the edges, most noticeably in the top center, extending into Kong's head. There is a 3" upside-down L-shaped tear in the lower left, and there is surface paper detachment and surface paper loss along that tear. Obviously, this still can be restored, but bear all of the above in mind and look closely at our super-sized images before bidding. Learn More about condition grades
