7 Original 1939 Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Cards (LCs; measure 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More)

Midnight Menace (released in the U.S. in 1939 as "Bombs Over London"), the 1937 Michael Hankinson & Sinclair Hill English military war action newspaper reporter thriller ("The shrieking headline thriller of the year!"; "SEE air-raid planes hurtle toward their goal! SEE news-hawks trapped by foreign secret agents!"; about a man in London who pretends to be the head of a pacifist organization, but he is actually planning on using television to transmit information about a disarmament conference, so that enemy agents can bomb it, but luckily, a newspaper reporter gets wind of the scheme and exposes it) starring Charles Farrell, Fritz Kortner, Margaret Vyner, Danny Green, and Wallace Evennett. Note that television had just been transmitted to a wide audience in England and in the U.S. when this movie was made, and yet the movie shows people in London getting their news via the BBC, and television is even made out to be the method by which enemy agents transmit information!
