An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded British Quad Movie Poster (measures approximately 30" x 40") (Learn More) Turtle Diary, the 1985 (released in the U.S. in 1986) John Irvin English returning-wildlife-to-nature melodrama ("Based on a novel by Russell Hoban", with a screenplay by Harold Pinter; about two unconnected people who feel sad that giant turtles are kept captive at the London Zoo, and together they plan to "kidnap" them and return them to the sea) starring Glenda Jackson, Ben Kingsley, Richard Johnson, Michael Gambon, Rosemary Gambon, Eleanor Bron, Harriet Walter, and Jeroen Krabbe. Note that in 1983, Harold Pinter and Ben Kingsley had worked together on "Betrayal", and they reunited two years later to make this equally unusual movie, but again, the wonderful writing and great acting made it a very memorable movie. In addition, the producers of the movie hired Andy Warhol to do the art for the poster! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Andy Warhol Important Added Info: Note that this is a rare "country of origin" poster for this English movie! Condition: very good. Learn More about condition grades
