Howard England mistaken identity plastic surgery detective mystery romantic crime thriller ("The dramatic Movietone thriller."; "From the play by Denison Clift"; a clever but contrived story of a thief who steals a locket from a rich man's wife that has her husband's picture in it. He ends up badly injured in World War I, and the surgeons find the locket and assume that it is his picture and they make him look just like the rich man; even more preposterous, the rich man is missing in action, so the thief is able to turn up as the missing rich man and take his wealth, but things get sticky when he wants the man's wife too) starring Edmund Lowe (in a dual role as a rich English lord and his criminal doppleganger), Joan Bennett (in her second year of lead roles), Donald Crisp, Georges Renavent, Lumsden Hare, David Torrence, Barbara Leonard, and Halliwell Hobbes NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that first release 1933 movie paper from this early detective movie is incredibly rare. We have only auctioned a title card from this movie until we received this scene lobby card! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: good to very good. There is paper loss in the far right of the top blank border. Otherwise, the card is in nice condition.
