Important Added Info: Note that this pressbook contains a special supplement that was distributed along with the regular pressbook for "Psycho" (perhaps Hitchcock saw the regular pressbook and felt they needed to better explain how he intended the film to be marketed)! The supplement is entitled "The Care and Handling of Psycho by Alfred Hitchcock", and it says at the bottom "This is a companion piece to the regular Paramount pressbook on Psycho". This supplement is loaded with photographs of Hitchcock and the many special teaser ads that were used to promote the film ("It is required you see PSYCHO from the very beginning"; "We won't allow you to cheat yourself"; "No one, not even the manager's brother will be admitted into the theater after the start of each performance of PSYCHO"). We have seen this supplement auctioned on eBay by itself, and it has sometimes sold for hundreds of dollars! Also note that the pressbook includes a one-page supplement that measures 12 1/4" x 15" Condition: very good. The pressbook has some creases scattered down the spine but is otherwise in pretty nice condition! The supplement has a few faint smudges on the front cover but is otherwise in quite nice condition! Also note that both the pressbook and supplements are complete and uncut! Given that theater owners purchased pressbooks partly in order to create their newspaper advertising, and quite frequently cut them up for that purpose, it is rare to find a pressbook that IS complete and uncut!
