Rashomon (released in the U.S. in 1952 as "Rasho-mon"), the classic 1950 Akira Kurosawa Japanese murder mystery crime thriller ("Acclaimed the best picture of the year from any country"; "Winner of the grand prize 1951 Venice Film Festival"; "The great and exciting Japanese production which brings a new experience in the cinema."; where a killing is shown from four different points of view, with wildly different versions) starring Toshiro Mifune, Machiko Kyo (billed as "...introducing the beautiful Machiko Kyo"), Masayuki Mori, Takashi Shimura, and Minoru Chiaki

Important Added Info: Note that we have only auctioned four examples of this poster in the last 26 years (and the last two examples were linenbacked and this one is not!).

Condition: good to very good. The poster has creases, tiny tears and tiny paper loss along portions of the blank borders (some of which have slightly darkened). It has light fold wear, with tiny separation in the crossfolds. It has a small tear in the upper and lower right horizontal folds (approximately 3 1/2" from the crossfolds - see our image). There are small slightly diagonal creases above and below the top and bottom crossfolds. It is otherwise in pretty nice condition and after linenbacking with some proper restoration the very rare poster will look great!
