Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Folded Three-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 41" x 81") (Learn More) The Deadly Mantis, the 1957 Nathan Juran Universal giant insect praying mantis science fiction (sci-fi) monster horror thriller ("This was the day that engulfed the world in terror!"; "The most dangerous monster that ever lived!"; "Out of a million years ago...a thousand tons of horror!"; "Shattering the icy shackles!"; "Hungering for human prey!"; "Dwarfing man's machines!"; "Jet planes can't stop him"; "Flamethrowers no avail!"; "Trapped by science!"; "This was the day that engulfed the world in terror!") starring Craig Stevens, Alix Talton, William Hopper, Florenz Ames, and Donald Randolph NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: This three-sheet was printed in 2 sections (which were combined during the linenbacking process). Condition: very good to fine. The poster is linenbacked; prior to restoration the poster had minor fold and border wear; there were some light smudges in the yellow background area at top left and some smudges to the left of the "T" of "THE" in the title; there were some smudges in the white background of the bottom credits box. The person who linenbacked the poster pretty much left it just as it is, as the poster was in excellent condition aside from what is mentioned above. I don't find these minor defects distracting, but if anyone does, a restorer could touch those areas up without re-backing the poster. Learn More about condition grades
