A 1974 Re-release Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Japanese "B2" Movie Poster (measures 20" x 28 1/2") (Learn More) Ikiru (released in English-speaking countries as "Doomed", "Ikiru ['To Live!']", and "Living"), the 1952 Akira Kurosawa Japanese bureaucratic inaction melodrama ("Kurosawa's brilliant drama of modern Tokyo"; about a man who learns he is terminally ill, and he has no family to speak of, and he sets out to find some meaning to his life, and after several adventures, ends up connecting with a young girl from his office who helps him realize what is important) starring Takashi Shimura, Miki Odagiri, Shinichi Himori, Haruo Tanaka, and Minoru Chiaki. Note that this film had a brief and very limited release in California in 1956 under the "Doomed" title (possibly only at UCLA), and a wider release in the U.S. in 1960 as Ikiru ("To Live!") Important Added Info: Note that this is a rare "country of origin" poster for this Japanese movie! Condition: fair to good. The poster was folded many times and there were many scuff marks scattered through the poster and fine surface paper loss on the foldlines. There were pinholes and scuffs in the borders.
