The Nice Carnival is one of the world's major carnival events, alongside the Brazilian Carnival and Venetian Carnival. It is held annually in February in Nice on the French Riviera. Note that this poster features Jean Luc art of a costumed man and woman dancing Artist: d'apres Jean Luc Important Added Info: Note that this poster has "d'apres Jean Luc 55" in the top left corner. This may be because this art was used on a previous Carnival de Nice poster from an earlier year, to indicate that they had reused the art. Or there could be another explanation. The poster was never folded. It had a 2" tear near the center of the top border and a 2 1/2" tear near the center of the bottom border.
