An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Style A Half-Sheet Movie Poster (1/2sh; measures 22" x 28" [56 x 71 cm]) (Learn More) Riff-Raff (also known as "Riffraff"), the 1947 Ted Tetzlaff Peru/Panama bad girl crime film noir ("Baby, this is a matter of love and death!"; "Only a sucker would turn his back... on a dame like this!"; "A guy geared for action... a dame designed for danger!"; about a plane that takes off from Peru with two passengers, but lands in Panama with only one, and the missing man had all kinds of important documents, and a private detective in Panama must find out what happened) starring Pat O'Brien, Walter Slezak, Anne Jeffreys, Percy Kilbride, Jerome Cowan, George Givot, and Sammy Stein. Note that Sammy Stein was a professional football player in the NFL, playing there between 1929 and 1932. He then became a professional wrestler, and he then became a movie actor, appearing in 58 movies, almost always playing a bad guy, often a crook or an outlaw cowboy (likely one of the very few Jewish cowboys ever!). Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had minor wear on the folds, with a few smudges, pinholes, and tears around the edges. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well! Note that either the restorer who mounted the poster did not leave any excess linen around the edges of the poster, or possibly the owner of the poster chose to carefully trim off the excess, so that the poster would fit in a frame.
