Thomson silent romantic love triangle circus inheritance family relationship melodrama short (an incredibly complicated story of a rich man who has a grown niece and nephew, and he wants to test their worthiness to inherit his fortune, and he hides in a secret room in his mansion and pretends to be dead, and his heirs are told that they must marry well to inherit his fortune, and his nephew, who is a doctor, falls in love with a circus rider, but marrying her would cut him out of the will, and he doesn't care, but then his rival for her drugs her just before she is riding a horse and jumping through a flaming ring, and because she is drugged, she is badly burned, but the doctor nurses her back to health, and the uncle is so impress that he decides to let the nephew inherit anyway!) starring Charles Kent, Harry Northrup, Julia Swayne Gordon, Courtenay Foote, William R. We have never auctioned even a single movie paper item from this movie until we received this special poster! Note that this is a VERY unusual poster from the early 1910s! In the earliest days of movie distribution, the studios (especially The Vitagraph Company) temporarily hit on the idea of creating one poster for use in several European countries, and to make that work, they put the title of the movie in three different languages at the top of the poster! The languages are Italian, German, and French. This is a rare opportunity to purchase an extremely early movie poster! THERE IS SOMETHING EVEN MORE UNUSUAL ABOUT THIS POSTER! The previous ones like this that we have auctioned from other movies have all been approximately Italian one-panel size (39" x 55"), but THIS one is approximately Italian two-panel size, and yet it seems to have all been printed on a single sheet. This, and one other poster we are currently auctioning, "Jerry's Mother In Law", are the only two larger sized posters that we have ever auctioned to this point! Condition: fair. The poster is extremely fragile and is separating on most of the folds, where there is also darkening, tears, and paper loss, and in the borders as well. The poster is mostly "all there", and after linenbacking by a talented professional, the poster will display well, but bear in mind its considerable defects and the cost of restoration before bidding.
