Searle Dawley silent black African American melodrama ("'Dey done went to roost on my fishing pole'"; based on the Harriet Beecher Stowe novel) starring Marguerite Clark (in a dual role as Topsy and Eva), Sam Hardy (as Simon Legree), Jack W. Johnston, Florence Carpenter, and Frank Losee (in the title role as Uncle Tom). Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. We have only previously auctioned a complete set of 9 lobby cards from this movie (and NO other movie paper of any kind) until we received this lobby card, which is the first item from this movie we have auctioned in 30 years!
