An Original Vintage Theatrical Kraftbacked French One-Panel "Grande" Movie Poster (1p; measures 41" x 53 1/4") (Learn More) Golgotha (released in the U.S. as "Behold the Man"), the 1935 Julien Duvivier French Biblical religious adventure melodrama (about the last days of Jesus; Duvivier had made religious silent movies, and in this sound movie, all the dialogue is taken directly from the Bible!) starring Harry Baur (as Herod), Jean Gabin (as Pontius Pilate), Robert Le Vigan (as Jesus), Charles Granval, Andre Bacque, Edwige Feuillere, Juliette Verneuil, Lucas Gridoux (as Judas), and Hubert Prelier NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Constantin Belinsky Important Added Info: Note that this poster has been trimmed and now measures 41" x 53 1/4". Also note that this poster has been kraftbacked, which means it was backed onto a brown paper soon after it was printed (this process is called "kraft-backing", and posters with it are called "kraft-backed"). One could have it professionally removed from the kraft paper and linenbacked, and it would look great! Finally, note that this is a rare "country of origin" poster for this French movie! Condition: fair to good. After the poster was kraftbacked, it was trimmed on all four sides to approximately 41" x 53 1/4", but it appears that very little of significance was lost.
